Bio:
Finley Gilzene is a Jamaican / English artist, Born in Slough and currently studying BA Photography at UAL. His work uses the alternative photography methods like cyanotypes and focuses on conversations surrounding the black experience in Britain – such as integration, desire, belonging and the marginalisation that comes with these desires. Recently his work has grown to include film, which has contributed to the development of both his research and creative work.

Multimedia installation comprising of cyanotype self-portraits that explore the artist’s body, and in turn the black body and the politics about seeing the black body in Britain, as well as of a video interview with the artist’s nan to reconnect with a lost element of his identity.
